Background and Cultivation
Agricultural Heritage
Agro Thai was founded leveraging the extensive experience of its founders who had worked on numerous government agriculture development projects, backed by social enterprise groups and regional leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture. The primary objective of Agro Thai was to bring 21st-century R&D and agricultural practices to farming initiatives in Thailand. It spearheaded one of the largest collaborations of farming cooperatives, providing growers with land and financial support. This led to a significant Mung Bean project, positioning Agro Thai as the leading cultivator and exporter of mung beans in Thailand. In a few years, this expanded to include further R&D and cultivation of a variety of crops, including corn, rice, and sugar cane.
“Agro Thai quickly grew to become the largest cultivator and exporter of Mung Beans in Thailand.”
Cultivation
Agro Thai empowers farmers to adopt technology and modern agricultural techniques. With the backing of social enterprise groups and local government bodies, we have expanded our reach to over 3,000 farming families across five provinces. Through regular training, Agro Thai ensures the implementation of best practices in cultivation, processing, and storage. Our agricultural products, including mung beans, corn, rice, sugar cane, soya beans, fruits, and vegetables, are exported globally. We focus on the development of 21st-century farming methods, soil management, and the creation of new crop varieties. Currently, we are part of the most extensive collaboration of local government, social enterprise, and farmers.
